WHAT WOULD YOU GIVE UP TO BE THE BEST?
Inspired by “Black Swan," “I, Tonya,” and “Strictly Ballroom,” this short film follows a ballroom dancer as she navigates social isolation on the day of the year’s biggest competition. In the fluorescent-lit bathroom, as her teammates put the final touches on their competition looks, she quickly senses that she's no longer welcome in the group that once embraced her. When she's left with her former best friend turned rival, tension escalate from silent discomfort to open hostility. Faced with rejection and rivalry, she must decide: fight for the title or for a sense of belonging.
